Lenses can be cut in a number of different ways to suit your personal requirements. Bi-focal lenses are perfect for reading but still offer the longer distance vision that you need when you look up from your book. Varifocals take the bi-focal concept a step further, offering a range of focal points depending on where you look, these offer a very handy option if you want to be able to just wear your glasses constantly without worrying about not being able to see at certain distances.
You might just like a single vision lens, nice and simple and ideal for day to day use. Other options you might want to think about include; Occupational varifocals and Photochromic responsive lenses.
